Preprints & Early-Stage Submissions

​

We now accept preprints to accelerate open discourse on AI ethics, societal impact, human-centric design, and responsible AI development. This is ideal for conceptual frameworks, visionary proposals, simulations, feasibility studies, ethical critiques, or interdisciplinary ideas that aren't yet ready for full multi-stage peer review.

Preprints are posted quickly (usually within 1–10 business days after basic alignment check) and are clearly labeled as non-peer-reviewed. They complement our formal journal track — many preprints evolve into submitted papers later! Cross-posting to arXiv, SSRN, or similar is encouraged.

What We Welcome as Preprints

​

• Conceptual and socio-ethical proposals

• Simulation-based or modeling studies

• Early ethical analyses, policy ideas, or critiques

• Visionary designs bridging AI with sustainability, resilience, community harmony, or human well-being

• Exploratory work on AI governance, alignment, risks, and existential dimensions

 

What We Do NOT Accept

• Content promoting harm, bias amplification, misinformation, or unethical applications

• Work violating academic integrity (plagiarism, fabrication)

• Purely promotional or commercial material

 

Preprint Submission Guidelines

• Format: PDF (preferred; max 30 pages, 12pt font). Include:

  • Title

  • Abstract (max 300 words)

  • Keywords (5–10)

  • Author bio(s) and ORCID (optional)

  • Clear disclaimer on page 1: "This is a preprint and has not undergone formal peer review. Feedback welcome."

• Licensing: Authors retain copyright. Recommend open licenses (e.g., CC BY 4.0) for maximum reach.

• Updates: Upload revised versions anytime (we'll link them as v2, v3, etc.).

• No Endorsement: Posting does not imply AI Ethics Network validation or peer review.

• Submission: Use the form below and select "Preprint" (or note it in comments). We'll post publicly with a permanent URL and may feature selected ones on our blog, magazine or X.

• Formal Journal Path: Strong preprints can be refined and resubmitted for full review (no fees, open access upon acceptance, 4–8 week decisions).
